Cremorne House revisit project

Returning to a cherished Cremorne client

In 2020 we completed a laundry and bathroom renovation for our cherished clients in Cremorne, and in 2021 we were thrilled to return to the heritage home to complete the renovations to this family home.

The client brief

The brief from our clients was to completely redesign the dated kitchen and bathroom in a style in-keeping with the existing home and period details. Classic and timeless was our focus, as well as light & fresh.

What we achieved

First impressions of the kitchen have dramatically changed, with the extended kitchen wall cabinetry lifting your eye up to the high period ceilings. We were able to disguise the range hood and ducting which had previously interrupted the height of the cabinetry and restricted storage. We specified soft and muted colours and complemented these with antique brass hardware and lighting fixtures. New appliances such as a Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer and Zip All-In-One Hydrotap add touches of luxury and comfort.

The bathroom, designed for three young girls, needed plenty of practical storage. We designed them a bathroom vanity with a drawer each, an overhead cupboard each, plus an integrated laundry basket to keep clothes off the floor. There are plenty of accessories, too - hooks, baskets and a heated towel rail - all in a stunning brass finish to match the tapware and shower fittings. To allow plenty of bench space for morning make-up routines, we placed the under mount sink in the vanity to one side.

This renovation achieves a harmonious blend of heritage and modern.
