Feature - home beautiful, march 2022

‘Pastel Perfection’

Described as an ‘ergonomic entertainer’s paradise’, we are thrilled to see the kitchen of our Mosman House Two project featured in the March 2022 issue of Home Beautiful.

This kitchen, bathroom & powder room renovation project completed in early 2022, and extended to interior wall colour, lighting and flooring selections throughout the home. The renovation introduced a contemporary Hamptons style to the home while being in-keeping with original interior elements. We reconfigured wall space in this kitchen, including blocking up a small window, as well as redesigning the north facing external french doors leading from the kitchen to the garden, to enhance the natural light they draw into the room.

The minimal and soft colour palette of blues and greys is complemented beautifully by the original blackbutt timber flooring which we brought back to its original condition by having the timber sanded and stained in a natural lacquer. We love how this colour palette has worked in combination with stunning nickel hardware and the gloss-finish splash back tiles.

The custom, built-in kitchen wall cabinetry is painted in a 2 pac polyurethane satin finish. Meanwhile, the curvaceous island kitchen bench is hand painted, adding an intimate detail and offering our client the flexibility to repaint it in the future, to allow the kitchen to timelessly evolve with their style and tastes.

It was a pleasure to work with Tranquil Renovations on the build, and have the completed project photographed by Sue Stubbs of Ess. Creative
