Introducing the transformation of a humble, two bedroom cottage into a modern three bedroom family home. Storage solutions have been meticulously designed into the new floor plan, to create a compact yet practical space for this wonderful young family.
Previously a small, two bedroom cottage, the addition of an extra bedroom and two extra bathrooms has made it an ideal haven for this growing family. With some clever spatial planning and redesign of the floor plan, we’ve created practical spaces in every room. The home has been extended into the front and back gardens, providing the extra space required for bedroom and living areas, while maintaining wonderful outdoor space for the children, including landscaped gardens and a pool by Lone Pine Landscapes.
We focused on meticulously planned storage solutions, such as in the combined bathroom and laundry, where we designed custom joinery to conceal the washing machine and dryer, integrated ironing board and double laundry hampers, a dedicated washing basket shelf and a double sink for dual use. We also managed to add a powder room for a third toilet!
Dedicated mudroom storage designed in the entry hallway provides a perfect drop-off place to hang jackets, dry cleaning, school bags and even has ventilated shoe drawers, plus a place for the Dyson. A floating desk and drawer space caters to both the work and study needs of the family.
This powder rooms packs a punch with herringbone pattern tiles, stunning bronze tap ware and beautiful wall lights to add the perfect ambiance. The master ensuite is a calming and sophisticated space with a rich blue custom vanity and oak accents, alongside polished chrome tap ware. The home has been finished to perfection with custom upholstery such as the mudroom and master bedroom bench seat cushions, roman blinds and sheer curtains.
